Southbound Highway 99 lanes in Fresno to close Friday evening

The Fresno BeeJune 4, 2014

Two of the three southbound lanes on Highway 99 from just south of Belmont Avenue to just south of El Dorado Street in central Fresno will be closed Friday evening and Saturday morning for emergency maintenance, a California Department of Transportation spokesman said.

The closures will last from 8 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday. The right lane will remain open during the construction, but Caltrans recommends that motorists use an alternate route.

Lane closures and scheduling are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances.
