A large office building under construction on Herndon Avenue will soon be home to Manco Abbott and Ginder Development.

The 20,500-square-foot office building, near Fruit Avenue, is expected to be finished by September, said Mike Goldfarb, chief operating officer for Manco Abbott.

The property management company, which has more than 50 employees, will occupy 11,000 square feet of space. Ginder Development, the project developer, will move into the other portion.

Manco Abbott has been at its Fresno and Bullard avenues location for the last 26 years. The move to Herndon was needed to accommodate growth and increase energy efficiency, the company said.

The new office building will have solar, high-efficiency lighting, water-saving restroom fixtures, and landscaping that uses synthetic lawn material.
