Two people died in separate motorcycle crashes Tuesday night and Wednesday morning in the central San Joaquin Valley, the California Highway Patrol reported.

Michael Rhett Lari, 56, of Coarsegold died about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Madera County. The CHP said Lari was riding his Harley-Davidson northbound on Highway 41 about 60 mph when he veered off the roadway and into a rock embankment north of Road 208. Lari died at the scene. Neither alcohol nor drugs appeared to be a factor in the crash, the CHP said.

Early Wednesday, a motorcyclist was killed in a collision at the intersection of Fowler and Davis avenues north of Laton in southern Fresno County about 5:30 a.m.

No other details were immediately available about the crashes.
