Fresno Pacific wins award for volunteer service hours

Fresno Pacific University has been named one of two winners of the Pacific West Conference Community Engagement Award after student-athletes completed a record number of volunteer hours.

The annual award, given to the institution that best served the community during the academic year, was shared with Notre Dame de Namur of Belmont on the San Francisco peninsula. The PacWest has 14 member institutions.

The award recognizes projects and community service performed by a PacWest member institution's Student Athletic Advisory Committee.
