You can help save Fulton Mall

FresnoJune 3, 2014

Creative Fresno's recent report card states that Fresno ranks last in the nation for green space per 1,000 residents and recommends prioritizing parks, not parking. None of this fits with the current plan to rip out the mall and add to downtown's pollution with another road.

But there is hope. The Downtown Fresno Coalition has filed a lawsuit and has an alternative plan to use existing alleys for additional transportation and parking.

Also, grant money (previously not sought by the city) is still available to restore the mall and rescue the art. Contact 1000 Friends of Fresno, 4781 E. Gettysburg, 93726 or and click on "Help Save the Fulton Mall."
