Search halted for missing hiker in Tulare County

The Tulare County Sheriff's Department has called off its search for a 78-year-old San Bernardino County man who went missing in the Kennedy Meadows area of southeastern Tulare County.

Paul Turner of Red Mountain was reported overdue from a hike in the southern Sierra Nevada and a search was launched on Saturday.

On Sunday, the Tulare County Search and Rescue Team working with the Inyo County Sheriff's Department called off the search, saying Turner could not be found.

Anyone with any information regarding Turner is asked to contact the Tulare County Sheriff's Department at (559)733-6218.
