A 19-year-old man who was shot in Selma on Tuesday was in stable condition Friday morning, said Selma Police Chief Greg Garner.

The Selma man, who has not been named, was listed in critical condition Tuesday night. He remained at Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno on Friday, Garner said.

The shooting happened around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Sheridan and Yerba streets. A motive for the shooting was still not known Friday, Garner said.

Detectives believe the shooting suspects may be three Hispanic males dressed in white T-shirts and red shorts, who were last seen heading west on Yerba Street, possibly in a late-model gray or blue Saturn.

Anyone with information about the shooting or suspects is asked to call the Selma Police Department at (559) 896-2525.
