Two Fresno students receive science scholarships

Two Fresno County students received scholarships at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair earlier this month, according to the Fresno County Office of Education.

Clovis North junior George Morgan was awarded $10,000 in scholarship to the school of his choice from the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers. The award was in the category of electronics and electromagnetics.

University High sophomore Beatrice Choi was awarded $10,000 in scholarship to Arizona State University, as well as a $2,000 cash prize from NASA and a $3,000 cash prize from United Technologies. These awards were in the chemistry category.

The fair was held May 11-16 in Los Angeles.
