Oakhurst couple arrested on felony drug charges

Two Oakhurst residents were arrested Thursday afternoon following an investigation into drug and trafficking sales in the Madera County mountains.

The county's Narcotic Enforcement Team (MADNET) said 41-year-old Rocky Rodriguez and his wife, 30-year-old Brenna Rodriguez, are behind bars and face a multitude of felony drug charges. During a search, agents found over $48,000 worth of heroin, marijuana and methamphetamine, as well as a handgun and ammunition.

The two were detained outside Sierra Courthouse near Bass Lake and transported back to their residence on Rock Point Road. As a convicted felon, Rocky Rodriguez faces additional charges of possession of ammunition and a firearm.
