The Fresno BeeMay 28, 2014

The Clovis Police Department will launch a motorcycle safety enforcement operation on Thursday in an effort to reduce crashes and educate drivers of both vehicles and motorcycles.

Funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, Clovis police will continue their operations through mid-July.

The program was funded following two fatal motorcycle crashes that occurred in Clovis last year.
