Two men were wounded in a Porterville-area shooting Tuesday afternoon, and the Tulare County Sheriff's Department is searching for the suspects.

The victims' injuries were non-life threatening.

Right after 2 p.m., occupants of a green Chevy Blazer made a U-turn near Success Drive and East Springville Avenue near Porterville.

The passenger and driver got out of the car, began shooting toward the victims, then got back in the car and drove away, the sheriff's department reported.

Soon after, Porterville police stopped a green Blazer near East Poplar Avenue and South Esther Street, and four men got out of the car and fled on foot.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call the Tulare County Sheriff's Department at 1 (800) 808-0488.
