Rawhide Report for 5/25: San Jose 3, Visalia 2

The Fresno BeeMay 25, 2014

Giants take three: Visalia right-hander Jesse Darrah started off strong, tossing six innings of four-hit ball, but the Rawhide lacked run support, and a seventh-inning error in left field scored the go-ahead run for San Jose in a 3-2 win at Municipal Stadium. The Giants have won three straight against the Rawhide, taking hold of the season series 6-5.

Rawhide in a rut: Visalia has lost six of its past seven games, including a 3-7 record over the past 10 contests. The Rawhide, who have struggled on the road at 12-15 (17-7 at home), dropped four games behind first-place Bakersfield in the California League's north division.

Up next: Visalia RH Brandon Sinnery (5-3, 4.19 ERA) will face San Jose RH Pat Young (3-0, 4.26) as the series concludes at 2 p.m. today in San Jose.
