Tioga Road in Yosemite reopens

The Fresno BeeMay 22, 2014

Tioga Road, the Yosemite National Park gateway to the eastern Sierra Nevada, reopened Thursday afternoon.

After opening May 2, the road closed again on Tuesday due to a late-spring snow storm.

The closure extended from Crane Flat, about 30 minutes from Yosemite Valley, to five miles west of the junction with Highway 395 on the east side of the Sierra.
