Woman killed in collision on Highway 168 east of Clovis

One person is dead and four were hospitalized following a collision between a car and a pickup truck on Highway 168 east of Clovis.

The crash, located several miles after the freeway ends, was first reported by the California Highway Patrol at 8:11 a.m. CHP spokesman Axel Reyes said officers were sorting out how the crash happened, but a female passenger in the car died and another occupant was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center.

The rest of the injured were taken by ambulance to hospitals. No one in the pickup truck was hurt, Reyes said.
