Porterville police seek runaway teenage girl

Porterville police are asking for the public's help in finding a runaway teenage girl.

Saira Mirella Sanchez, also known as Saira Nunez, left home about 11 p.m. May 6, police said.

Police have tried to find her but believe she is avoiding contact.

She is described as a 16-year-old Hispanic female, 5-feet-4 and 140 pounds, with shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes. She may have a scar on her right wrist.

Anyone with information is asked to call police detective J. Dominguez at (559) 782-7411 or officer Mark Lightfoot at (559) 782-7400.
