1. The San Francisco Giants have the best record in the National League and the Oakland A's are second best in the American League. We know this because their highlights make the back half of ESPN's SportsCenter -- and because there is no such thing as an East Coast bias.

2. Wanting the Indiana Pacers, or San Antonio Spurs, or Oklahoma City Thunder, to knock out the Miami Heat from the NBA playoffs ... well, it's like always rooting for the Jazz against Michael Jordan's Bulls. Nice theoretical exercise, but who are we kidding?

3. You want a Derek Carr update, you know you do. But, unless you can say what OTA stands for without using an Internet search engine, you forfeit the right to care about meaningless offseason practices. So, there. Go outside, now, and discover the sun.
