Fresno-area Boy Scout organizes care package drive for Marines

A local Boy Scout is asking for donations in the Fresno and Clovis areas this month to be used in care packages for U.S. Marines serving overseas.

Jared Fisher, 17, said that he placed over 2,000 fliers and collection bags in the Fresno and Clovis areas as part of his Eagle Scout project.

Fisher is seeking donations of socks, food, baby wipes, batteries and other items for servicemen and women in need. Full lists of desired items and donation boxes are located at the Fresno and Clovis Marine Corps recruiting offices.
