Five Fresno County engines sent to Southern California fires

Five Fresno County fire engines and a battalion chief were sent to help with wildfires that raged in Southern California on Tuesday, Cal Fire said.

Firefighter Dustin Hail said the engines left around 11:30 a.m. and were originally heading to San Diego but were diverted to higher priority fires in the Santa Barbara area.

By Tuesday evening Fresno County Fire was working to respond to additional requests for help.
