Tulare County Office of Education announces excellence awards

Tulare County Office of Education has announced the top educational leaders for its Excellence in Education Awards.

Thirty people from Tulare County school districts, College of the Sequoias and Porterville College were nominated.

Award recipients, finalists and nominees will be recognized at a breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Oct. 28 at the Visalia Convention Center.

The winners are: John Snavely, Porterville Unified School District superintendent, administrator of the year; Anne Clifford, Tulare County Office of Education teacher of severely handicapped, teacher of the year; Ruben Alvarez, Porterville Unified work-based coordinator, school employee of the year.
