13 Valley students named Dell Scholars

Thirteen Valley students have been selected as Dell Scholars, a highly competitive scholarship program rewarding students for academic performance and grades as well as financial need and extra curricular activities.

Dell Scholars will receive a $20,000 scholarship, a laptop, ongoing college advising and increasing book stipends each semester of college.

Seven of the 13 Valley students were from Fresno. The scholars are: Maijou "MJ" Vang from Edison High School in Fresno; Pa "Pa Kou" Chang, Kee Voua "Kee" Lee, Amber Cozad, Mariah Reason, Dee Yang, and Chamee Yang from Sunnyside High School in Fresno; Dayana Esquivel from El Diamante High School in Visalia; Jacqueline Lemus from Strathmore High School; Yesenia Marquez from Riverdale High School; Iriana Pina from Lemoore Middle College High School; Ayendili Alcantar and Margarita Ramos from Avenal High School.
