Fresno freeway closures set for Saturday's California Classic bike ride

Westbound Highway 180 will be closed Saturday morning during the first 10 miles of the California Classic Century bike events.

Highway 168 will be closed between McKinley and Shepherd avenues from 7 to 10 a.m. while 1,500 cyclists begin the first stretch of their 100, 60 or 35 mile event. Westbound traffic at Highway 168 and Shepherd will be diverted onto Shepherd Avenue. Eastbound lanes of Highway 168 at Temperance Avenue will be diverted to Shepherd Avenue as well.

Riders will exit at Shepherd Avenue and continue eastward through the foothills of Fresno County.
