The Clovis Chamber of Commerce is recruiting middle and high school students interested in business for its Young Entrepreneurs Academy.

Local business leaders will teach students how to develop a business idea, form a plan and present it professionally during the 30-week program which starts in October.

Classes are held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays at Willow International Community College Center. The program culminates with investor presentations to business leaders who may donate funds to help students launch their business. One student will be chosen to go to a regional competition.

An informational meeting will be held at 6 p.m. May 22 at the Clovis Chamber, 325 Pollasky Ave. For an application or more information, visit or call (559) 299-7363.
