Traffic on westbound Highway 180 will be switched to the newly constructed westbound lanes near Centerville beginning Wednesday.

Flaggers will direct traffic to the new lanes just east of Academy Avenue and west of Smith Avenue, the California Department of Transportation said. Motorists will travel on one lane in each direction along the newly constructed lanes from 6 p.m. Wednesday until 6 a.m. Thursday.

Quality and Newmark avenues south of Highway 180 will be closed to through traffic for the next six months during the next phase of construction, Caltrans said.
