Garden of the Sun in Fresno hosts science day (video)

The Fresno BeeMay 8, 2014

Elementary school students, master gardeners, 4-H members, farm advisers, scientists and educators gathered Thursday morning at the Garden of the Sun in Fresno to take part in the University of California's largest one-day citizen science project.

The Day of Science and Service is a statewide collection of crowd-sourced data. Participants were asked: how many pollinators did they see in a three-minute span, how is water conserved and where is food grown in their community.

The Fresno Bee is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
