The Central Valley Higher Education Consortium has extended the application deadline for its CollegeNext! Bootcamp until Friday.

The boot camp, held at Fresno State, is a five-day program from June 16-20 that is geared toward high school juniors in hope of preparing them for college admission. The students recruited from schools in the Fresno, Kings and Tulare counties will experience a college living environment.

The participants, many first-generation college students, will learn how to fine-tune college applications, meet academic advisers and learn about financial aid, scholarships and higher education.
