Friday's warehouse fire near Fresno-Yosemite International Airport caused about $2.75 million in damage to the buildings and contents, Fresno Fire Department investigators said Monday.

Two warehouses caught fire late Friday morning in east-central Fresno. It took much of the afternoon to contain the blaze.

The cause remains under investigation.

There was more than $2.5 million worth of contents destroyed inside the buildings. Damage to the buildings themselves was estimated at $250,000.

Among the items damaged were motor homes and recreational vehicles.

The buildings were owned by Derrel's Mini Storage, said Koby Johns, fire department spokesman.
