Stroke awareness event set for Fashion Fair on Friday, Saturday

Free blood pressure checks will be available Friday and Saturday at Fashion Fair mall as part of American Stroke Month.

The event aims to raise awareness about stroke being the fourth-highest cause of death in the U.S. Stroke empathy activities and pamphlets on stroke warning signs will be available.

The event is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday and Saturday between Macy's and J.C. Penney. It's presented by Kaiser Permanente Fresno with the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association.
