Wet and wild night at Clovis Rodeo (video)

The Fresno BeeApril 26, 2014

Despite wet weather, gray skies and a muddy arena, the Clovis Rodeo -- which is celebrating its 100th anniversary -- went on as planned Friday night, with a full rodeo performance and a concert.

Among Friday's highlights were the steer wrestling and the bareback riding.

Rodeo-related events continue Saturday, April 26, starting with a parade at 9:30 a.m. through downtown Clovis, a rodeo performance set to start at 2 p.m. at the Clovis Rodeo Grounds and a rodeo dance at 7:30 p.m.

Saturday is "Salute to the Military Day."

A special kids' rodeo will kick off the action at noon on Sunday, April 27, with the championship rodeo performance slated to begin at 2 p.m. at the Clovis Rodeo Grounds.

Sunday has been designated "Tough Enough to Wear Pink Day."
