Fresno man, 22, killed in Madera County crash

The 22-year-old Fresno man killed in a single rollover accident Tuesday morning on Avenue 12 west of Highway 41 has been identified as Cole Alexander Peveto. The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate what caused him to drive off the roadway.

The crash was reported about 6:50 a.m. on Avenue 12 west of Highway 41. The pickup was traveling at a high speed when it went off the roadway and rolled a couple times before coming to rest on its roof, California Highway Patrol Officer Scott Jobinger said.

The man, who was driving alone, was pronounced dead at the scene, Jobinger said.
