The Fresno County Sheriff's Office said Friday that a man reported missing last Saturday in Squaw Valley was seen the day after his disappearance in Orange Cove.

Larry Wayne Blackman, 32, was served food in Orange Cove, said deputy Chris Curtice. Blackman was last seen walking southbound into Tulare County, Curtice said. Blackman had said he had been in an argument with a girlfriend.

His disappearance now is considered voluntary, Curtice said.

When Blackman was reported missing, the sheriff's office said he was driving with his girlfriend and another person when the car stopped near the area of Sand Creek Road and Squaw Valley Road. Blackman had an argument with his girlfriend before she left with the other person to get Blackman food. When they returned around 3:30 p.m., Blackman was gone.

On Friday, Anthony Ballard, who was formerly married to Blackman's sister, said Blackman has not returned to Georgia. "He's never contacted me or his sister or someone in the family," Ballard said.

Ballard said the family has asked the sheriff's department to continue searching for Blackman.
