Madera Co. Avenue 12 onramp to close for eight months

The Fresno BeeApril 16, 2014

The Avenue 12 onramp to northbound Highway 99 in Madera County will close Monday for approximately eight months.

The California Department of Transportation suggests that motorists continue westbound on Avenue 12, proceed onto Highway 145, turn right, then continue along Highway 145 until reaching the northbound Highway 99 onramp.

The closure is necessary in order to remove the old onramp, build a new one and complete construction of an overpass as part of the ongoing Highway 99 Avenue 12 Interchange Improvement Project.

Closure schedules are subject to change due to weather, unforeseen circumstances and/or early completion.
