Visalia imposes stricter watering rules

The Fresno BeeApril 16, 2014

Visalia will implement Stage 4 of its strict water conservation program on Thursday.

According to Kim Loeb, Natural Resource Conservation Manager for Visalia, all residents will be able to water their lawns and plants once a week in April. Odd-numbered addresses can irrigate on Saturdays, and even-numbered addresses can irrigate on Sundays.

Residents can water twice in the month of May -- odd-numbered addresses on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and even-numbered addresses on Wednesdays and Sundays.

The policy allows for three days of watering from June through September -- odd-numbered addresses on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and even-numbered addresses on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

No watering is permitted from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
