Fresno State chapter of Sigma Chi donates $25,000 to Children's Hospital

Fresno State's Sigma Chi chapter donated $25,000 to Children's Hospital Central California this week.

The California State University, Fresno fraternity raised the money through its annual fundraising event Derby Days. Each year the fraternity releases an advertisement book that generates donations from past Sigma Chi alumni.

After this year's donation, the fraternity has now raised a total of $100,000 for the children's hospital in Madera.

Zachary Worden, philanthropy chairmen of Sigma Chi, said the local connection was especially important when choosing to donate to Children's Hospital.
