The Great American Car Wash on 2854 N. Blackstone Ave. in Fresno will host a fundraiser from 1 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday to benefit cancer research and treatment.

Representatives for Team Blest and Relay for Life will volunteer at the event. Team Blest was created by Diana Douglass, who lost her teenage son Don to adrenal vortical cancer. Douglass has continued her efforts to raise funds and awareness for cancer.

Great American Car Wash owner A.J. Rassamni donated 50% of this week's sales to Team Blest. "When the Douglass family came to me and asked me to help with their fundraising efforts for Relay for Life, there was no other answer to give than yes," said Rassamni, who lost both of his parents to cancer.

Saturday's event marks the end of the fundraising week. Rassamni asks that customers mention Team Blest at purchase to ensure the team is properly credited.
