Fresno Latino family wellness event set

The California Mental Health Services Authority and Fresno County's Department of Behavioral Health are hosting a Latino family wellness event from 12:30-3 p.m. Saturday at Manchester Center, 1901 E. Shields Ave.

The "Live a Healthier Life/El Bienestar de una Familia Latina: Cómo Vivr una Vida Más Saludable" event will be conducted in Spanish to promote mental wellness in the Hispanic community. The event aims to reduce stigma associated with mental illness.

Community members will share stories about their journeys to mental wellness. Information about mental health resources will be available. Child care will be available for free, as well as free food and prizes.
