The Clovis Chamber of Commerce will present the inaugural Young Entrepreneur Academy (YEA!) Class of 2014 at its Investor Panel on Wednesday and will begin looking for a new YEA! class.

The 11 local high school students involved in YEA! learned the ins and outs of entrepreneurship over the course of six months from three instructors.

The students created business ideas and plans according to curriculum created by the University of Rochester in New York.

The Clovis Chamber is recruiting next year's YEA! class, which will start in October. The class is open to middle school and high school students throughout the Valley.

Applications are available on the Clovis Chamber website at or by contacting program manager Fran Blackney at (559) 299-7363.
