Roadwork closures planned for Highways 99, 198 south of Fresno

The Fresno BeeApril 4, 2014

Night closures for Highways 198 and 99 south of Fresno are scheduled next week, Caltrans said.

Caltrans said there will be full highway closures of eastbound Highway 198 at the Highway 99 interchange Monday night to Wednesday morning between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. The eastbound Highway 198 connector ramp to northbound Highway 99 and the southbound Highway 99 connector ramp to Highway 198 will also be closed between the hours of 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night.

Also scheduled for closures are the left lanes of both northbound and southbound Highway 99 between the Highway 198 interchange and Betty Drive in Goshen, which will be closed Tuesday night to Friday morning between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.

California Highway Patrol officers will be on site assisting with traffic control and detours will be in place to direct motorists where necessary. Caltrans said the closures, part of the Highway 99 Tulare to Goshen-North Segment Widening Project, may continue for longer periods if necessary due to uncontrollable events.
