Nearly two and a half years ago, a car belonging to Bonnie Kiser, a volunteer historian for the Girl Scouts of Central California South, was stolen. Inside were several boxes of historical Girl Scout memorabilia dating back more than 75 years. A good Samaritan - John Torres - found them on a roadside and held on to them for more than two years. He turned them into the Girl Scout office in Fresno and made the historian's day.

The Fresno Bee is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news.
