A 42-year-old driver and her 43-year-old husband were pinned in their car Saturday evening after it collided with another vehicle at Ventura Avenue and M Street in downtown Fresno and then rolled over.

The couple were transported to Community Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries after the Fresno Fire Department used special equipment to free the couple from the heavily damaged Toyota 4-Runner.

Police said the 41-year-old driver of a 2001 Saturn was traveling westbound on Ventura and made a left turn on M Street, crossing into the path of the eastbound Toyota.

Alcohol or drugs did not appear to be a factor in the crash, police said.
