Frank Villegas to be honored as Fresno State Chicano Alumni Legacy Builder

Fresno businessman Frank Villegas, who supported Cesar Chavez and the United Farm Workers, will be honored April 11 as the 2014 Chicano Alumni Legacy Builder at Fresno State.

The annual award, presented by the Chicano Alumni Chapter of the Fresno State Alumni Association, recognizes Fresno State alums who made major contributions to the Chicano experience at the university and in the community. The chapter will also honor Fresno State Chicano scholarship recipients.

The banquet will be at the University Square Hotel, 4931 N. Cedar Ave., across from Fresno State. It will begin at 6 p.m.

Tickets are available for $50. Proceeds benefit the Chicano Alumni scholarship endowment. Tables and sponsorship are available for the banquet by contacting banquet chair Frances Pena-Olgin at (559) 908-9816 or francesp@csufresno.edu.
