Sanger police officer involved in crash in good condition

A Sanger police officer who was hurt in a traffic accident Friday night while responding to a reported disturbance is in good condition and only had minor injuries, said Sanger police Cpl. Brandon Coles.

The accident happened about 8:45 p.m. in the area of Jensen and Bethel avenues.

The injured police officer was on his way to help other officers pull over a vehicle considered "high risk" when he crashed. The accident remains under investigation by California Highway Patrol.

Three vehicles were involved in the crash, and there were minor or no injuries to all other parties involved, said Sanger police Cpl. Jason Boust.

The patrol car and another vehicle had moderate damage due to the crash, and the third had minor damage, Boust said.
