Emergency workers try to extract a man trapped in an SUV following a three-vehicle crash near Selma at Bethel and Dinuba avenues on Friday, March 27, 2014.

JIM GUY — THE FRESNO BEE

The driver of a Honda Pilot SUV was transported by helicopter to Community Regional Medical Center with major injuries after a multi-vehicle crash Friday afternoon near Selma.

A stop sign on Bethel Avenue at the intersection with Dinuba Avenue gives drivers on Dinuba Avenue the right of way. The California Highway Patrol said the driver of a flat-bed truck was eastbound on Dinuba Avenue and making a left turn at the intersection as a Honda Pilot approached Bethel from the west.

The CHP said the driver of a pickup truck rolled through the stop sign and struck the Honda, which slammed into the flatbed.

The driver of the Honda was cut from the wreckage by emergency workers. The driver of the pickup sustained minor injuries and the driver of the flatbed did not seek treatment.
