Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central California launched its Lunch Buddies program in Madera Wednesday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The ceremony was held at Parkwood Elementary School, where the school's principal Diane Phakonekham and Big Brothers Big Sister director Director Rick Farinelli participated in the ribbon cutting.

The Lunch Buddies program is designed to give adults with busy schedules the opportunity to meet with their "Littles" once a week during lunch to play games and visit.
