Fresno Unified officials say a February fire at a district warehouse storing computers and textbooks resulted in more than $1 million in damages.

The blaze at the metal warehouse building, near the 4400 block of North Brawley Avenue, ignited in a pallet of computers set to be recycled.

The cause of the Feb. 10 fire is unknown, but district officials say arson is suspected.

Flames spread to stacks of textbooks in storage, resulting in about $1.1 million in losses, according to a district memo. The fire, which was quickly distinguished by fire crews, caused about $30,000 in damages to the building.

Spokeswoman Micheline Golden said the district has filed a claim with Travelers Insurance.
