Fresno State's Nixon Center Advocates to host garden party

The Fresno BeeMarch 25, 2014

The Arne Nixon Center Advocates at Fresno State will hold their 11th annual Secret Garden Party April 13, but the location has already been revealed.

This year, the garden party will be at the newly completed Leo Politi Garden outside of the Henry Madden Library. Normally, the location of the party is not revealed to guests until they sign up.

During the event, a re-dedication of the garden will take place. Politi was Fresno a native and award-winning illustrator and author. He was also a good friend of Fresno State professor Arne Nixon. The garden was created to honor their friendship.

The Secret Garden Party is the Arne Nixon Center Advocates' major fundraising event, and all profits go toward the Arne Nixon Center.

The event will be from 3 to 5 p.m. For more information or to make reservations, contact Jami Stanford at (559) 278-8116 or jsanford@csufresno.edu.

Editor's note: The date of the event was incorrect in an earlier version of this story.
