Central Valley Honor Flight fundraiser underway in Madera

A fundraiser event for Central Valley Honor Flight is underway in Madera, hosted by live music venue ApCal.

The event will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at ApCal, 32749 Avenue 7, Madera. The fundraiser supports trips for World War II veterans to visit war memorials in Washington. D.C. The fundraiser includes live music, wine, beer and a silent auction.

Central Valley Honor Flight is sending 73 local WWII veterans and their guardians to visit Washington D.C. from April 28-30 and has two more trips planned in 2014. ApCal hopes to pay travel costs for 10 local veterans with money raised from ticket sales.
