Free Internet offered to certain Fresno County families

The Fresno BeeMarch 20, 2014

The deadline for low-income families living in Fresno and San Joaquin counties to learn if they qualify for six months of free Internet service from Comcast is Tuesday.

The California Emerging Technology Fund and its partners are working to expand home broadband adoption among communities where there is low-than-average Internet use.

Families with K-12 students who are eligible for the service and are not Comcast customers can sign up for the program.

For more information about how to qualify in Fresno County, contact Eduardo Gonzalez at (559) 278-0542.
