The League of Women Voters of Fresno is sponsoring a free showing of the Peabody award-winning film "King Corn" on Thursday at the Woodward Park Library Community Room at 12:30 p.m.

The full-length documentary follows two men who move from the East Coast to the Midwest intent on tracking corn from planting their own crop on an acre to processing. Along the way, the men conclude that they're discovering troubling questions about how Americans farm and eat.

Participants are invited to bring lunch. Beverage will be provided. For more information call (559) 226-8683.
