Rifle-toting robbers hit Willow/Nees Sonic in Clovis

Clovis police are investigating a robbery of a Sonic drive-in by two men late Sunday night.

Employees at the Sonic on the northeast corner of Willow and Nees avenues reported that the two men, armed with hunting rifles, forced their way into the store about 11 p.m., forced two workers to the ground and took cash. They fled in a four-door, red car. A third person was seen waiting in the car while the robbery occurred.

None of the workers was hurt.
