Retirement community collecting Easter baskets for Children's Hospital

The Fresno BeeMarch 14, 2014

The retirement community of Fairwinds Woodward Park is collecting donations for Easter baskets for patients at Children's Hospital Central California.

The goal is to fund 300 Easter baskets by April 15 so that every child at the hospital will receive one.

The community is asking for either monetary donations or wrapped candy, toys and stuffed animals to include in the baskets. The Fairwinds general manager, Clint Fowler, pledged to match the amount of donations.

Fairwinds staff and residents will deliver the baskets to patients April 16.

Anyone who wishes to make a donation can do so at the front desk of Fairwinds, 9525 N. Fort Washington Road, in Fresno.
